We are pleased to announce that Ravpreet “Ruby” Bhangoo, Attorney at Law at SMTD Law LLP will be serving as a board member of the Orange County chapter of the National Association of Women in Construction starting September 2019.

The core purpose of the National Association of Women in Construction (“NAWIC”) is to enhance the success of women in the construction industry.

NAWIC provides its members with endless opportunities for professional development, education, networking, leadership training, and public service. As one example, the Orange County chapter of NAWIC holds a unique week-long program for high school girls called Camp NAWIC. Campers receive hands-on training about different construction trades, such as carpentry, electrical, plumbing, sheet metal, landscaping, geology, concrete, and tile. This year, campers remodeled one of the eight units of the Thomas House Family Shelter apartment complex in Garden Grove, California. Not only did the campers walk away with skills in construction, but more importantly confidence in themselves and what they could do for the construction industry.

If you would like to get involved with NAWIC’s OC chapter, please contact Ruby at rbhangoo@stmdlaw.com or visit: https://www.nawicoc.org/membership.

SMTD Law LLP would like to take a moment and congratulate Ruby for this prestigious accomplishment.  We look forward to learning about her successes in advancing the causes of all women in construction.  Click on NAWIC’s OC chapter here: https://www.nawicoc.org/aboutus to learn more.
